As an organization that runs 24/7 with only two full-time and four part-time staff members we are incredibly fortunate to have dedicated, reliable volunteers. ECHO House is a 40-bed residence so there are always areas where we need help, sometimes desperately. Every year we log thousands of volunteer service hours within and outside of our main shelter. Our volunteers range from middle and high school students earning service learning credits to retiree’s keeping busy and everyone in between. If you have a little time and a desire to be of service we almost certainly have something going on that you’ll enjoy doing.

Volunteers are needed to staff our brand new store to help with sorting, stocking and general maintenance. If you can spare a few hours a month we’d love for you to spend that time with us. No experience necessary, you simply need to be willing to fulfill a weekly, biweekly or once-a-month commitment. Please call, email or visit us online for more information: 410-535-0044, ECHOdevelopment@comcast.net or www.ProjectECHO.net.
Shelter Monitor/Office Assistant
ECHO relies heavily on volunteers to keep the shelter running smoothly every day (and night) of the year. With only one ECHO staff member regularly on site, volunteers are needed to answer doors and phones, assist residents, and perform daily tasks around the shelter and in the office. The hours are flexible and we’re more than happy to work with your schedules. No experience necessary! Please call, email or stop by for more information. 410-535-0044 ext.3 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Individual community members, families, civic and ministry groups prepare or purchase meals for our residents nearly every day of the month. It’s a blessing for our homeless to know that they won’t have to go hungry. Our monthly meal provider calendar is as full as ever but we still have gaps that need to be filled. If you’re interested in providing a lunch, dinner, pantry items or even occasional party leftovers please contact us at: 410-535-0044 or email@example.com.
Want to join our Empty Bowl Supper Crew? How about the Turkey Trot Team? Maybe you’re interested in planning committees, event set-ups, advertising, sponsoring, sorting donations, or just any meaningful way to get involved and have fun, there’s volunteer opportunities available for all ages. Call, email or visit us online for more information: 410-535-0044, firstname.lastname@example.org, ECHOdevelopment@comcast.net or www.ProjectECHO.net.
