Transitional Housing
Another Step in Helping People to Live Independently
Project ECHO, Inc. has expanded its services to include two transitional houses. These homes are designated for single families or as group homes, and will be made available to appropriate clients for up to two years.
Through the Transitional Housing Program families are provided a house to live in while they work to restore their financial stability. During their stay, residents are required to save a fixed percentage of their earnings to be used toward a security deposit or down payment for permanent housing.Clients are assigned a case manager to assist them in developing life skills in such areas as budgeting, goal setting, bill paying, and general home management and maintenance. Furthermore, transitional housing helps clients to get a credit rating by eventually obtaining the utilities and similar services in their name.
