Project ECHO now has a store where you can help the homeless by shopping (yes, shopping!) and donating your gently used clothes and household goods. We’re staffed by volunteers and stocked by donations so every dollar spent at Project ECHO Thrift & Gift Shop goes toward our mission of helping the homeless. We’re incredibly excited about this and we can’t wait for you to come see our new place! The store is now open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10am – 4pm. It’s located at 885 Main Street, just a half mile south of the shelter.
We’re still working on filling our volunteer-staff roster so if you can give a few hours a week we would love to have you join our team! The volunteer sign-up form can be printed here. Any questions and completed forms can be sent to Teressa at ECHOthrift@comcast.net.
The list of items we will and will not accept can be printed here. Donations are accepted Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10am – 2pm. These hours are subject to change based upon space and availability. If you want to verify acceptable hours, if you have large items or a large quantity of items please call ahead to ensure that we’re able to accept your delivery 443-975-7376.
Thrift & Gift Shop eGift Cards are now available! Send them to your friends and family or even send them to a family in need. If you don’t personally know a family in need and would like us to choose one for you we would be more than happy to do so. Your eGift Card can be emailed to ECHOthrift@comcast.net and we can disburse them to shelter residents, former shelter residents, members of our shared-living houses or members of our Oxford recovery houses. Gift certificates coming soon!
